Minnesota soldiers soon to be deployed crave a digital memory of home

The Minneapolis Southwest Journal just published an article featuring the Smiles for Soldiers program offered by our client Saving Tape - a Minneapolis based media conversion company.  Their Smiles for Soldiers program presents an affordable way for family and friends to send home movies and other forms of media to deployed soldiers on a simple, easy to use DVD.

The sticking point for most families looking to send home movies to their loved ones is that all the different media they want to include seems impossible to combine.  Still images from cameras.  Movies from a flip cam.  Movies on a neighbors camcorder.  Old footage stuck on VHS.

Client Las Terrazas Resort Nominated for Travel Award

After opening only 2 seasons ago one of our Belizean clients, Las Terrazas Resort in Belize, has been gaining some serious online traction in the past few weeks.  First they were nominated for a World Travel Award, which are the most comprehensive, the biggest, and the most prestigious awards program in the travel industry worldwide.  They were nominated in the catagory for Belize's Leading Resort, which seems appropriate.  You can register to vote at:

Increased visibility on the web comes with increased risk

We were recently invited to write an article on how increased visibility on the web opens up a company to increased security risks. The article was published in EMQ magazine (Enterprise Management Quarterly).

SlickRockWeb Launches new Small Business Website

SlickRockWeb is proud to announce the launching of a new small business website in Denver Colorado.

Pool and Spa Professionals is a relatively new company based in metro Denver Colorado that provides retail and commercial pool and spa solutions and consultations throughout the state of Colorado.

Pool and Spa Professionals wanted to create an online presence that was clean and professional looking. They contacted SlickRockWeb Inc. of Minnesota to provide web development services and search engine optimization expertise. SlickRockWeb designed a simple to use and professional looking website that allowed their vendors to make online payments and created an easy way for prospective clients to make contact with the company. This site will continue to grow and provide expanded content in the coming months.

At the same time SlickRockWeb will begin implementing its properitary search engine optimization techniques to get Pool and Spa Professionals properly listed in the search engines, to generate online visibility and advertising for the company and to start producing highranking pages within the site for "non-branded" searches.
